Last month exploring Europe and Spain

As my summer is coming to a close, I was grateful to have been able to explore an island off Greece and enjoy my last week here in Barcelona. In Greece, we were able to really dive into a new culture where we tried so many different foods, like baklava, and we had time to explore some of the smallest and most authentic roads on the island. It has been really eye-opening seeing how different each country is once you get there and I am so grateful I found such good friends to explore and travel with.
Once I got back to Spain for my last week, I decided to spend most of my free time exploring the Gothic quarter just a little bit more, since it was my favorite during my time here. I went to my favorite fro-yo place and even went to some local shops where I met and became friends friends with many of the locals at. The Gothic quarter has so much to offer in the day and nighttime. My friends and I went back there for dinner later the same evening and had delicious seafood and saw many unique street performances on the way.
As my time comes to an end in Spain, I am so grateful for IES Abroad for such a great internship and opportunity to travel on my weekends and explore many other places along the way. One of the main life skills I think I learned was how to be adaptable and network globally, and I met so many people from places, like Canada and Shanghai, that I never would have known if I did not step out of my comfort zone!
