London Tube

When it comes to getting around London the underground transport, otherwise known as the Tube, was probably the easiest public transport I’ve ever come across. Coming from the U.S. where, at least where I’m from, the only way to get around really is having a car, I had no clue what using public transport will look like. Where we stayed in London we were unlucky that it was pretty far from central London and where I worked everyday, but lucky that there was a Tube station right across the street. Using some form of maps on your phone will tell you exactly the stations you need to get on and off anywhere you are going.

Eventually, depending on if you are going to similar places, you get pretty used to what lines connect to which and catch along with how to get from point A to point B. I think the one thing I wish I knew before hand was that you should budget depending on where you are living and how much you are using the Tube that even with the cap on how much they charge you to use it each day, I would still probably budget at least $100 each week for transportation. That’s one thing I didn’t budget in for the summer that ended up being crucial to getting around.
