Finding balance in Edinburgh

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a month since I arrived in Edinburgh. The weeks have flown by in a blur of classes, and I’m still getting used to the rhythm of life here. One of the biggest challenges so far has been learning how to juggle my classes while also enjoying all the exciting parts of being abroad. Classes are difficult, but that was something I expected from studying abroad in my senior year. The biggest temptation I have to resist is the urge to just hop on a bus and explore the seemingly never-ending city of Edinburgh. There are so many amazing things to see, it feels like I could spend every day exploring and still not see it all. One of the strangest things I’ve had to get used to is relying on public transport. With enough patience and creativity, you can easily get anywhere in the city by hopping on a bus. Figuring out the system at first was tricky, but once you get the hang of it you realize how convenient it really is. Overall, my first month has been filled with adventure, and I can’t wait to see what the coming months have in store.
