February, the month of love! This month brought about new friendships, new experiences, new challenges and new feelings! February often feels like the worst month of the year; dragging from the miserable winter weather and getting false glimpses of spring. I’m lucky enough, however, to escape the February floods of Dublin to sunny surrounding areas. This month I traveled to Birmingham and London, England, Berlin, Germany, and Budapest, Hungary. While all cities were amazing in their own way, Budapest brought about the best experiences that I will be talking about for the rest of my life.

There is something so special in meeting people abroad and forming connections, knowing that there is a large possibility that you’ll never see them again. Getting to meet locals and share your cultures, and meeting other Americans abroad, getting to share similar feelings about the excitement of traveling and the longing for home. Budapest gave me these new experiences and friendships that I hope will find me again in the future. Until then, here’s to living in the moment and enjoying March!
