This month I would like to talk about something a little bit different! Through ALI Abroad, you are able to take an experiential class, where you learn about and walk the Camino de Santiago. I highly recommend this! Mid-April, we set off to Ourense and started our five-day 100 km walk to Santiago. There is a lot of history on this walk, which I highly recommend looking into! The walk was one of the best experiences of my life, and I would love to do it again in the future.

There are several different routes, some starting from all over Spain, Portugal, France and more. But, every single path leads to Santiago. We met tons of new friends while walking, and one shared that she had been walking for 40 days!

I will be forever thankful for this experience and can’t recommend it enough to incoming students or anyone traveling around Spain.
