Allison has a bachelor’s degree in international studies with an East Asia emphasis and a Korean studies minor from Mizzou. She first traveled abroad in high school as part of a two-week humanities program through Italy, France and England visiting museums, theatres and historical landmarks. She also frequents Australia to visit with her spouse’s family and friends in Sydney and Melbourne. While attending Mizzou, Allison studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea, in 2020 and 2021 at Korea University. She has also worked as a language exchange partner helping new immigrants with English speaking and comprehension. Since graduating, Allison spent three years recruiting undergraduate students as a senior admissions representative with Mizzou Admissions. As an artist in her free time, Allison uses her travels as inspiration and reference in her works. The importance of international travel and exposure to new cultures is critical to human understanding, compassion and development. These experiences were world changing for her and she wishes for everyone to have their own international experience in their lifetime.
