Berkley has dual bachelor's degrees in German and psychology from Mizzou and is a Columbia native. He first discovered a passion for travel and intercultural experiences at 16 when he traveled to Germany and Belgium for two weeks with his high school choir. During his time at Mizzou, Berkley studied for a semester at the University of Bonn, Germany, and traveled extensively throughout Europe. Following graduation in 2018, he was selected for the Fulbright Austria U.S. Teaching Assistantship Program and spent a year living in Linz, Austria, where he taught English at two Austrian secondary schools. Berkley has worked in several departments at Mizzou since then, most recently in the Admissions office, before moving to International Programs. He looks forward to sharing his passion for international exploration with Mizzou students and helping them on their journey. Berkley is a vocalist, performing with Show-Me Opera all four years at Mizzou, has an orange tabby cat named Soliloquy (Soli), enjoys anime, hiking, fantasy and science fiction novels, cooking and trying new and exciting food whenever he can.
