Katherine holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and French from The Pennsylvania State University. While completing her degree, she spent a semester studying in Rabat, Morocco. Post-graduation, she taught English for four years at a high school in Tokyo, Japan, through the JET Program. Outside of work, she volunteered as the team lead for the language services team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, which provided interpretation services for athletes and the press.
Katherine caught the travel bug early and has not looked back since. In high school, she attended an intensive French language camp in Leysin, Switzerland. During a gap year between high school and college, she was a Rotary Youth Exchange student in the south of France for a year and took classes in a French high school. Katherine has seen firsthand the impact that cross-cultural interactions can have on an individual's life and wants to facilitate that experience for others. She believes that learning to understand people who are different betters our society.
