Spend four weeks immersing yourself in Peruvian culture while improving your Spanish language skills. Visit sites of cultural and historical significance, including the Incan citadel Machu Picchu, while studying with other Mizzou students. Enroll in one of these tracks for a total of six credits:
- Track one: SPAN 3150 and 3160
- Track two: SPAN 3420 and 4980 I
- Track three: SPAN 4980 I and 4980 II
Learn about Spanish and European culture at one of the oldest universities in Spain with other MU students. Absorb Spanish language and culture both inside and outside of the classroom in an immersive learning environment complimented by living in a homestay. Choose two of the follow courses for a total of six credits:

Combine our summer programs in Peru and Spain for a two-in-one study abroad experience. Start your summer in Lima, Peru, at Antonio Ruiz Lopez Montoya University, where you will spend three weeks improving your Spanish language skills before traveling to Cusco for a week that includes a visit to Machu Picchu. Then travel to Europe, where you will spend four weeks studying at the University of Oviedo in Spain and taking courses at La Casa de las Lenguas. Earn 12 credits of Spanish on this program and complete your major or minor!
