Study abroad this summer on the Learning and Teaching in Intercultural Settings in Greece program! You'll expand your knowledge of Greek culture and history while providing service to an organization that helps refugee and immigrant children and adults. Enroll in four credits of LTC 4800/4800H or 7800 and spend your weekdays working in your volunteer organization and weekends participating in cultural excursions, with some free time to explore Greece on your own. Study abroad this summer on the Global Service: Dolphin and Marine Conservation in Tanzania program! Work alongside community projects and a dolphin research program in the beautiful Menai Bay conservation area off the coast of Tanzania. This area of the world is home to vibrant coral reefs, diverse marine life and lush mangrove forests, which attract around 200 bottlenose and humpback dolphins each year. Learn about the conservation efforts in the area and explore strategies to influence both tourist and community perspectives on dolphin and marine life interactions. Earn three service-learning credits as you explore the historic temples, lush tropical jungles, ancient cities and delicious cuisine of Thailand. You will serve at Elephant Nature Park, a renowned ethical elephant rescue and rehabilitation center north of Chiang Mai, witnessing how elephants behave in their natural habitat and learning about the challenges facing elephant conservation and how ENP is working to help these animals.
