Of the hundreds of international events and activities that take place across campus throughout the year, a few are annual favorites. Please contact the sponsoring organizations for more information.
August, Missouri International Student Council
The International Student Welcome Party is for international students and scholars as well as domestic students. The Missouri International Student Council uses this opportunity to initiate and organize a unified welcoming party. International student groups serve food and provide information about their culture.
Fourth Tuesday in September, Missouri International Student Council and Missouri Students Association
Mizzou’s international students offer a taste of their culture to mid-Missouri. Visitors can watch a flag ceremony and then enjoy food, beverages, cultural displays and souvenirs at the International Bazaar, a Mizzou tradition since 1974.
November, Cultural Association of India
Immerse yourself in music, dance, drama and diverse costumes highlighting traditional and modern Indian culture.
Third week in November, MU International Center
International Education Week at MU is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange with lectures, workshops and our annual Study Abroad Photo Contest awards.
February, Friendship Association of Chinese Students and Scholars
MU's Chinese students and scholars put on a spectacular showcase of traditional Chinese dance and music.
April, African Students Association
The African Students Association presents films, trivia, food, lectures and parties throughout Africa Week.
April, Thai Students Association
Ring in the New Year with Thai Students Association. Experience Thai culture through music, dancing, performances and free food.
