Traveling outside the U.S. this winter break? Come to Memorial Union to get the required travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019. Signatures are valid for six months, so if your signature has expired and you are planning to travel, you must get a new signature. Please bring a hard copy of your document with you. International student advisers will be available for walk-in travel signatures at the following times:

Optional Practical Training is employment authorization that allows international students in F-1 status to work off-campus in positions directly to their major field of study. All F-1 students planning to apply for OPT work authorization are required to attend an OPT workshop.

STEM OPT is an extension of the Optional Practical Training employment authorization that allows international students in F-1 status to continue working for an additional 24-months. All F-1 students who may be eligible for STEM OPT are encouraged to attend a workshop.
