International agreements extend MU’s global reach and reputation. Agreements with universities, government agencies and nongovernmental organizations located in other countries are used to facilitate a range of international activities. These agreements provide important tangible benefits, such as revenues for services rendered, access to research facilities, data or funding, student and faculty exchange. However, since countries have different legal systems and different standards and expectations in higher education, international agreements can sometimes introduce unanticipated liabilities and obligations. To that end, the university has a mandatory review and approval process for international agreements.
Our list of current agreements is getting an upgrade! A new and improved international agreements database is coming later in fall 2025.
