As an international student or scholar, you will have many dates to keep track of. It is important that you check these dates and contact your ISSS adviser if you have any questions or believe any of the dates are incorrect.
Admit until date
This is the amount of time you are permitted to stay in the United States. Your admit until date (AUD) can be found on your I-94 record.
Visa validity dates
These are the dates your visa is valid and can be used to enter the U.S. with additional supporting documents. Your visa validity dates are based on reciprocity agreements with your home country’s government. Your visa validity dates are not likely to match your I-20/DS-2019 program dates. The visa in your passport may expire while you are in the U.S., but it must be valid if you travel and re-enter the United States. I-20/DS-2019 program dates
Students
Your program start date is the date you are expected to report to campus. This date may include time for orientation and other required activities before the start of classes.
Your program end date is the end of the semester we anticipate you to complete your degree program based on average completion times for students in your program.
Scholars
Your program start date is the date you are expected to report to your department for your exchange visitor activities.
Your program end date is the date your appointment with your department will end.
