The Department of State has issued an interim final rule regarding electronic signature and transmission of Form DS-2019. Effective April 27, 2023, International Student and Scholar Services is permitted to use digital signatures and transmit Form DS-2019 electronically. Exchange visitors will need to print and sign the electronic DS-2019 prior to visa interviews or travel to the United States.

Effective immediately, all requests submitted via myStatus that results in an updated DS-2019 will be signed and sent electronically. If you need an original copy, please note this in the comments section of your request.
