Paulina Brouder named director of study abroad and international partnerships

International Programs is pleased to announce that Paulina Brouder will serve as director of study abroad and international partnerships, effective March 1. Brouder has been interim director of study abroad since September 2023. She has worked in international education at Mizzou since 2007 and holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from MU. Born and raised in Sweden before moving to the U.S. in 1992, Brouder has extensive international experience. During her time with Mizzou Study Abroad, her many accomplishments include:
- Expanding global experiential learning opportunities, including the Global Internships program, which has placed 170 MU students in summer internships around the world since 2014, and the new Global Research program.
- Leading the redesign and implementation of study abroad advising from a regional based model to a model based on students’ academic majors.
- Developing and leading the Global Advisers Immersion Program in Ireland (2022) and Italy (2023) to provide academic advisers with a firsthand perspective of the study abroad options available to MU students.
- Directing the collaboration with Missouri S&T to manage study abroad operations on its campus.
