U.S. Embassy Moscow to discontinue nonimmigrant visa services
May 3, 2021
On April 30, the U.S. Embassy Moscow announced that it will discontinue nonimmigrant visa processing effective May 12.
If you are a Russian national traveling outside of the U.S. and your U.S. visa has expired, you will need to make arrangements to renew your visa at an alternative embassy or consulate location. Contact the embassy or consulate prior to your appointment to ensure they will process visas for third country nationals. Processing times may take longer, so plan accordingly.
Additionally, you will be subject to all entrance requirements for the country in which you will apply. Be sure to verify your travel and visa requirements for the application country.
If you wish to discuss your travel plans, please reach out to your ISSS adviser or schedule an advising appointment.
