Ayllon taking new role at Indiana, Brouder to serve as interim director of study abroad

Miguel Ayllon will leave the University of Missouri on Aug. 31 to take a new leadership role at Indiana University Bloomington. Ayllon served MU for 15 years in roles with International Programs, Residential Life and the College of Engineering.
Paulina Brouder will serve as interim director of study abroad beginning Sept. 1. She has worked in international education at Mizzou since 2007 and holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from MU. Born and raised in Sweden before moving to the U.S. in 1992, Brouder has extensive international experience. During her time with Mizzou Study Abroad, her many accomplishments include:
- Expanding global experiential learning opportunities, including the Global Internships program, which has placed 170 MU students in summer internships around the world since 2014, and the new Global Research program.
- Leading the redesign and implementation of study abroad advising from a regional based model to a model based on students’ academic majors.
- Developing and leading the Global Advisers Immersion Program in Ireland (2022) and Italy (2023) to provide academic advisers with a firsthand perspective of the study abroad options available to MU students.
- Directing the collaboration with Missouri S&T to manage study abroad operations on its campus.
